The Video Rental Management System (VRMS) was the start of a University Project in my second year at Leeds Metropolitan University, designed for a fictitious company - Playhouse Video. It was part of a project to create a computerised database and front end interface that both staff and customers could use to access information on and rent DVD's and videos. The project is written in PHP and HTML with a MySQL back end database.
The VRMS is split into two areas - an internal (staff) interface and a public (external) interface. The internal interface has more functionality but is less graphically intense than the public interface. The public interface on the other hand is more user friendly and attractive than its counterpart.
