The NMS (Nursery Management System) aims to provide full Child, Staff and planning infromation required for a nusery or small school environment. It allows for both child and staff personal details and contact information storage, retrieval and editing. A built in scheduler allows children to be placed into custom defined rooms depending upon age or by being manually allocated. Reports can be run upon many areas of the system including room lists and number statistics, registers, birthday lists and billing letters.
The Nursery Management System was originally designed for the Young Explorer's Day Nursery (YEDN) (in Matlock, Derbyshire) during the winter of 2003. It is currently still being extended as further requirements become apparent. The project is written in PHP with a MySQL back end database.
